Jump into big adventures this summer with Camp Invention! This year's all-new program is designed to inspire confidence and persistence as campers bring their biggest ideas to life. Local educators lead campers in fun collaborative, creative problem-solving activities for the best summer ever.

Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, and placement depends upon staffing and enrollment.

This free program is offered to GPPSS students enrolled in the fall of 2022. At the incoming K-5 level, the focus is on literacy and numeracy. The incoming 6-12 level has multiple course offerings including foundational skill building in math and English language arts. The kickoff session is outdoor and kinesthetic themed. CAMP O'FUN

If you plan on utilizing Camp O'Fun during the month of June, you MUST be registered by Friday, May 13. Any camper registration received after Friday, May 13 may begin attending camp in July.

There is something new everyday at Camp O'Fun! From theme weeks to a talent show, campers enjoy outdoor play, time to explore and full days of fun.

SUMMER MUSIC FESTIVAL

For: Grades 5-8

The Grosse Pointe Summer Music Festival is open to all currently enrolled GPPSS band and orchestra students for incoming grades 5-8. This exciting and affordable local program provides an opportunity for students to further develop their instrumental music skills. Extension courses to Band & Orchestra include Jazz Band and Fiddling.

Our mission is to equip our youngest learners with the tools they need to remain calm and safe during emergency situations. Your child will meet local police and firefighters, learn tips and tools to use in a real-life fire situation, and explore a range of safety topics.

HIGH SCHOOL SUMMER LEARNING - CREDIT RECOVERY

For: High School Students
Dates: June 28 - Aug 4
In-person: Limited to the following subjects: Algebra 2, Geometry, Biology, Chemistry and English. Class size will be limited to 20 students and students will be enrolled on a first come, first serve basis. Students will be notified via email if they have been placed on a waitlist.
Virtual Classes: A variety of courses will be offered through the Odysseyware program. Students will check in with their teacher once a week. There is no class limit.
