  • Summer Learning Program – High School (9th-12th)

As you know, the 9th-12th grade courses offered through the GPPSS Summer Learning program provide students meaningful opportunities to earn credit and/or grade enhancement. Unfortunately, since the summer of 2015, the enrollment in 9th thru 12th grade courses has steadily decreased (~250 in 2015 and ~170 in 2017), causing the district to cancel courses at the last minute and ultimately lose approximately $58,000/year over the last three summers.

  • Space for Rent or Lease in the Administration Building

As Facilities Town Halls and budget discussions continue, the administration would like you to know there is space available for short-term rent or lease at the Administration building, 389 St. Clair, Grosse Pointe. Most office spaces are 125 to 150 square feet, at competitive market rates. If interested in learning more, contact Lisa Abbey at 313-432-3080.

  • ATTENTION: FAMILIES OF FIFTH AND EIGHTH GRADE STUDENTS – VERIFY RESIDENCY by August 1

The Board of Education feels strongly about enforcing our residency requirements and not opening our district to School of Choice options. Rather than incur the cost of a total district re-registration, the administration is again performing a total re-verification of students entering sixth and ninth grades next fall. Families who have already verified their address this school year due to an address change are exempt from this process.
