In this free program open to all GPPSS families, teachers have custom designed courses that emphasize enrichment, inquiry and fun. The focus is recharging and engaging students while reinforcing essential skills for a successful return to school in the fall.
The program runs in four two-week sessions:

HIGH SCHOOL SUMMER LEARNING PROGRAM

Grosse Pointe Public Schools will again be partnering with St. Clair Shores Adult and Community Education (SCSACE) to provide opportunities for our high school students to earn credit through their 2021 Summer programming. Classes will be offered both in-person and virtual.

Think creatively. Build confidence. That’s the motto of Camp Invention, which has been providing fun and safe summers for more than 30 years through STEM activities. The program is offered online at home or in-person at Pierce Middle School.

GP SUMMER MUSIC FESTIVAL

The Grosse Pointe Summer Music Festival is open to all currently enrolled GPPSS band and orchestra students in grades 5-8. This exciting and affordable local program provides an opportunity for students to further develop their instrumental skills. Extension courses to band and orchestra include jazz band and fiddling.

South athletic camps are run by South coaches in a fun and supportive atmosphere with a focus on skill development to prepare participants to compete successfully.
