Early Childhood Services are provided to children at a few different age levels and developmental levels: Play and Say for 2 year olds, 3 year olds, and 4 year olds.

Play and Say for 2’s is a playgroup taught by a multidisciplinary team comprised of an Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Teacher, Speech Pathologist, Psychologist, Social Worker, and Teacher Consultant for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.  The children have many different developmental delays but all have a delay in communication.  There is a parent component of this program that is a lecture series in which parents are given information on how to increase their child’s communication as well as fine motor, gross motor, play and social skills.  This playgroup meets once a week for 1 ½ hours.

Play and Say for 3’s and 4’s is a playgroup designed for children with moderate to severe articulation disorders or mildly impaired language skills.  This playgroup meets once a week for 1 ½ hours and team taught by two Speech Pathologists.  The parent component of this playgroup is through participation.  Parents are required to assist in the classroom on a rotational basis.  This allows for parents to have familiarity of the routine as well as consultation of therapy techniques for their child.  Small group speech therapy is also a part of this program.
