• Useful Links
There are a growing number of sites that have very useful all-in-one searches for college matching, scholarship matching and career matching.  Some even include standardized test interpretation and analysis.  Here are a few that we have found helpful:
    • Naviance Family Connection Naviance and Family Connection is a Web-based resource that supports college planning that is specific to Grosse Pointe South High School. It is linked with each counselor at South and will allow parents, students and counselors to share information efficiently and communicate more effectively

    • My College QuickStart  Sponsored by the College Board this site includes college matches, career matches, SAT study plan and a personality profile.  Also links to creating a Junior Action Plan, Scholarship Search, Financial Aid planner and Academic Tracker.  Students will need the Access Code found on their PSAT Score results to access this info.  If you cannot find your student's Access Code just call or email your child's counselor.

    • Cappex.com This site will require a free registration, but has  a good amount of resources for College Searching/Matching, Financial Aid/Scholarship matching, and a cool "What Are My Chances" college admissions calculator that gives students a decent idea about what their chances are of being admitted to the colleges of their choice.

    • Career Cruising Students are familiar with this site as a tool that they use to create their Educational Development Plan.  They may not be aware that it has fantastic functionality for college matching, career search and matching, as well as Scholarship Matching where they can apply right from this site.  Very cool stuff so don't let them dismiss it easily.  Students will need their logins (typically student ID and birth date).  If they can't get in easily just call the counseling center or the career resource center for clarification of their ID and Password.

      • Saving for College
