As Trombly's Reading Specialist, I coach Trombly students in Reading.  In 'Reading Club' we practice our reading skills, we discuss our thoughts and ideas about reading, therefore, we become stronger readers!

Trombly Elementary is an amazing home to teach because of our supportive families and our students who arrive each morning ready to learn and grow!

Twenty-one years ago I started my teaching career in Houston, Texas as a Reading teacher to 5th and 6th graders of all ability levels. Houston is a very culturally diverse city, plus it was heaven to take a break from the Michigan winters.

In 2000 I accepted a teaching position in Grosse Pointe and have been happily teaching here ever since. This is my fourth year teaching at Trombly Elementary.

Teachers are naturally curious learners, my education has been focused in the both field of education as well as curriculum.  It's vital that as teachers we never stop learning and that we are students outside of our classroom as well.

My classroom is upstairs in room 203, Mrs. Martinuzzi and I share a teaching space.   Please stop by and introduce yourself, at anytime, and let's talk about books and reading.  I love talking with families about the multitude of ways students develop into amazing readers!

Looking forward to a productive year together!
