In the fourth grade our main topics of study are regions of the United States and Michigan history from 1837 to present.  As units end there will be quizzes cover the content studied.  There wil be a review/study sheet each time there is a quiz.

We are starting the year studying regions.  Here is the curriculum page that kids need to access from home:

We will take a great field trip this year to Lansing to visit the State Capitol Building as well as the Michigan Historical Museum.

At one point toward the end of the year we will study economics through investing.  The kids love this every year.  We pretend to buy stock and put money in the bank and track our gains or losses in Microsoft Excel.
