Dear Maire Families,

Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! I am truly looking forward to an exciting and productive year ahead with all of our amazing Maire Leaders. It is a privilege to partner with you in supporting your child’s learning journey.

This year marks my tenth year as a proud member of the Grosse Pointe Public School System, and I bring with me over 20 years of experience in public education across a variety of roles. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Wayne State University in 2011 and completed my Master’s in Educational Leadership, Administration, and Organizational Studies in 2022.

My passion for education runs deep. As a school leader, my mission is to help every child discover the joy of learning and to develop a strong belief in their own abilities. I strive to create an environment where all students are encouraged to do their personal best, embrace challenges, and celebrate their own growth. Just as importantly, I believe in fostering a community where students respect differences, practice kindness, and show empathy toward others.

It is my responsibility and honor to guide our students' educational experiences while supporting our staff and families in building a safe, inclusive, and welcoming school culture. Every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and inspired—and that will always be at the heart of what we do at Maire.

A little about me personally: I am married and have two children—my 26-year-old son, Chandler, and my 12-year-old daughter, Payton, who is entering 7th grade. As a family, we love spending time together outdoors—skiing (both water and snow), swimming, camping, golfing, and working on creative DIY projects. We’re also big fans of movies, sports, and good laughs!

It is an honor to serve as the principal of Maire Elementary. I am excited to partner with you throughout the year and can’t wait to see all the wonderful things our students will accomplish.
