Ferry School students want to help the homeless animals in our community! The MACS serves animals by providing humane education, supporting affirmative legislative action and performing adoptions and rescues. Their only sources of support are memberships, donations and fundraisers. The animals will be so thankful if Ferry Families could look around their homes or go shopping for some supplies that would make their lives more comfortable. Please put your donations on the tables outside the office.
Mix It Up at Lunch Day is an international campaign that encourages students to identify, question and cross social boundaries
As you know, reading is the foundation for success in school and it is essential for all subjects. In 2016, the Michigan Legislature passed the Third Grade Reading Law to ensure that students exit third grade reading at or above grade level. The law states that beginning with the 2019-20 school year, third-graders could be retained if they demonstrate reading proficiency levels that are more than one grade level behind.
February is Heart Month and Ferry will be hosting our 25th annual KIDS HEART CHALLENGE fund raising event! Every year millions of elementary students across the country exercise to raise money for the American Heart Association. The funds that are raised from these events contribute to all the vital research and programs made possible by the American Heart Association.
Kids Club offers planned, interesting activities that are developmentally appropriate and enhance physical, intelectual, social and emotional growth. Kids Club starts at 7:00 AM Monday to Friday and run after school until 6:30 PM.
You're invited to meet with us and participate in an ongoing conversation about topics related to diversity and helping our schools continue to value diversity! Each meeting will be held at a different school. All GPPSS district parents are welcome to attend.
Our pick-up and drop-off procedures worked very well in past years. We would like to thank all drivers who cooperated with the pick up and drop off rules. This is a very dangerous area for children to be unless these rules are followed.
