Volunteer Opportunities for 2019 - 2020
We are looking for a volunteer to help coach our running club, Running Dragons. The club will run after school from 3:40 - 4:30 pm. To continue to grow our running club, we need another coach to help organize and plan the six week running program. If you are interested in coaching, please contact Lisa Rheaume, firstname.lastname@example.org or Carrie Morris, email@example.com
We are in the process of planning for our 2019-2020 Defer Robotics Team. We are looking for coaches to also help with the two teams. If you are interested in coaching or learning more about robotics, please contact Lisa Rheaume, firstname.lastname@example.org
If your child was on medication during this school year. You must pick up the unused medication at the Defer Office by 2:00pm the last day of school or it will be discarded.
Our school Medication Policy requires all medications, including over the counter medication to have a new physician's order with parent's signature each school year. The medication also must be in a new original container and/or prescription bottle with the child's name on it.
All medication administration forms can now be found on the Grosse Pointe Public Schools webpage for your convenience to be completed by your child's primary health care, provider listed below:
· Medication Administration Form
· Allergy Treatment Consent form for Epinephrine (Epi-Pen)
· Asthma Action Plan
Please bring in completed forms signed, dated, and stamped by your primary health care provider with parent signature along with any required medications on the first day of school in September. Do NOT drop off medications prior to the first day of school as they will not be accepted. Parents must hand deliver medications with completed forms to Mrs. Bates in the office to be checked for full accuracy.
No medications will be administered at school without the accurately completed forms. Also please check the expiration date on medications as we cannot accept expired medications.
Have a safe, fun, and healthy summer!
