All About Mrs. Cantalupo
Hello, my name is Tammi Cantalupo and I am so happy to be a part of your child's educational journey! I hope you find this website helpful. Please feel free to email or call me if you have questions, comments or concerns at anytime throughout the year. My concerns and goals are primarily the same as yours: To give your child a challenging and rewarding education in a safe, positive environment.
This is my nith year teaching in the district; my second year at Richard. I have taught lower elementary, fifth grade and middle school. I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education, majoring in Language Arts from Madonna University. I also hold a Master's in the Art of Teaching Reading and Language Arts from Oakland University with an additional reading specialist endorsement. Teaching has been my career of choice since childhood. I guess you could say this is my dream come true!
In my spare time I love to read, play tennis, camp, spend time with my family (my husband Mike, my 5-year-old son Logan and 4-year -old daughter Claire), take my dog, Cali, for walks, etc.
A few adjectives that describe me are friendly, fair and firm (when need be). I expect my students to have positive attitudes toward school, treat others with respect, give 100% effort, be responsible and organized with their materials. I truly enjoy teaching and am looking forward to a wonderful year working with you and your child!
