All of the questions on the NEW exam measure student understanding of big ideas, enduring understandings, essential knowledge, and the student's application of this understanding through the seven science practices. To develop deep understanding of the essential knowledge, students will practice and expand the concepts through use of illustrative examples and inquiry-based investigations.
