• Monday, Sept 30th-  Today we compared continued our study of "Patterns of Earth and Sky," using our brand new workbooks.  No homework was assigned.

     

     

     

    Friday, Sept 27th-  Today we went looking in a space simulation for planets that might be hospitible to life.

     

    Wednesday, Sept 25th-  Today we discussed models of the earth, and then learned how to open and navigate a simulation of changing constellations in the night sky

     

    Tuesday, Sept 24th-  Today we went over the last quiz question by questions, correcting any misconceptions as we went along.

    Monday, Sept 23rd-  Today we compared hypotheses about two strange "relics."  We also learned a little bit about what astromoners are.

     

     

    Friday, September 20h - We tool a quiz today.  On Monday we start a new unit called "Patterns of Earth and Sky."  It's about astronomy.

     

    Thursday, Sept 19th-  Today we made up hypotheses about two strange "relics."  Students were also reminded to use their study guides to review for Friday's pendulum quiz.

    Wednesday, Sept 18th-  Use a study guide to review for Friday's quiz.

     

    Tuesday, Sept 17th-  Tomorrow used the graph to spot trends and make predictions about pendulum speeds.  We also began reviewing for the Friday's quiz.

     

    Monday, Sept 16th-  Today we learned about more about variables.  We learned to APPLY last week's pendulum dicoveries to remedy a slow-running grandfather clock.  we also reviewed how to GRAPH the results of a pendulum investigation on a two-coordinate graph.  Tomorrow we'll learn to use the graph to spot trends and make predictions.

     

    Friday, September 13th - We did an experiment today that showed the relationship between a pendulum's starting positionand its speed.  we kept the length constant, but changed how high we raised it before dropping it.

     

    Thursday, Sept, 12th - We learned how to graph the data from the pendulum investigation today.

    Wednesday, Sept, 11th - We did an experiment today that showed the relationship between a pendulum's weight and its speed.  we kept the length constant, but added pennies one at a time.

     

    Tuesday, Sept, 10th - We did an experiment today that showed the relationship between a pendulum's length and its speed.

     

    Monday, Sept 9th-  Today we learned about pendulums.
