One of the goals of any mathematics course is to prepare students to learn math, so that they will be able to deal with the math and learning techniques that they might encounter either on the job or in school.    Mathematics represents a disciplined, systematic, and logical way of thinking that, when mastered, will provide the student with many options for the future.  Hence, it is then essential  that the student develop a solid foundation of mathematics.  This course focuses on the algebraic concepts of functions, equations, graphs, sequences/series, trigonometry, and probability/stats with special emphasis on problem solving and modeling, reasoning, precision, and perseverance.  Standardized test prep (ACT/SAT) will be included throughout the course as well.
